Another good match up today is Josh Beckett against Roy Halladay. I'll be watching both but commenting on the New York Mets vs Atlanta Braves

No.....the game is on Sport South.....

Smoltz , throwing well in the 1st......considering he's coming off a stint on the DL..... Hitting mid 90's on gun. Getting squeezed a bit by the ump.

Johan Santana throwing well today... A gets a lucky two bagger..... Wasted opportunity for the Mets. Wright was fooled badly by that Smoltz slider.


Nice fielding play by Santana saves a run....You can't get beaten by Yunel Escobar. Ever!

Smoltz is is still throwing well.......Bad play by Delgado getting doubled off....

Jose Reyes should have made the play on Franceour's flyball. But a 5-4-3 double play gets the Mets out of more trouble. Smoltz still throwing well after 75 pitches.

Blaine Boyer throws a good 6th for the Braves ( you can't have 2 called third strikes against a guy with 13.50 ERA). Santana throwing well through six.

Another wasted opportunity in the 8th

The Mets wasted a great outing by Johan Santana. Every game against the Braves is a big game, every loss stings. The Mets have to hit better in the clutch. Delgado getting doubled off first, David Wright striking out with a runner on 3rd, Angel Pagan flying out with a runner on 3rd.
Reyes never got on base.........It'll be a long airplane ride to New York.
