The New York Daily News reports today that Aaron Heilman and Fred Wilpon had a running bet going into the spring training game against The University of Michigan yesterday. Wilpon is an alum of Michigan and Heilman spent his college days at Notre Dame. The bet was that no Mets pitcher would give up a run against Fred Wilpon's alma mata. However, Heilman surrendered a two out RBI single in his one inning of work. As to when the performance will happen:
"It would have to be at least tomorrow," Heilman said about the timetable for his singing performance, "because I don't even know the words."
This should be funny to hear about. Hopefully one of the papers runs a story about how it goes.
